Level 1 Mondays, 6-7:30pm

Level 2 Wednesdays, 6-7:30pm

Level 3 Wednesdays, 7:30- 9pm

Level 4 Mondays, 7:30- 9pm


DESCRIPTION OF CLASSES

LEVEL ONE ~ Introduction to Raks Sharqi basic steps, zills*,
and choreography for two dances

LEVEL TWO ~ Veil technique, choreography for two dances
and zill drills

LEVEL THREE ~ Intensive zill work, choreography for several
dances using zills and cane

LEVEL FOUR ~ Advanced technique, advanced zills, and
numerous choreographies

*Zills are finger cymbals placed on the thumb and middle
finger of both hands. The Oriental Dancer plays the
zills (also called zagat) while dancing.
